Legalization of US Intrastate Internet Gambling a Growing Issue

Back on December 23, 2011, the United States Department of Justice (DoJ) revised the gambling regulations it had once implemented and changed the standards to make intrastate internet gambling legal. Three weeks following this change, the vast majority of online gambling experts have expressed concern and made it clear that they want strict and controlled laws for legal online gambling within their states.

The online gaming analyst at Deutsche Bank had cautioned the DoJ that there would be problems in the future. The analyst’s research report mentioned that the interest that has been shown for the regulation of intrastate internet gambling has gone astray. He went on to say that it is no longer a matter of whether intrastate gambling will become legal but when.
